London, 1941, at the height of the Blitz. A mysterious cylinder is being guarded by the army, while homeless children,
living on the bombsites, are being terrorised by an unearthly child. But when Rose meets the dashing Captain Jack Harkness,
has she found a hero better than the Doctor himself?
The TARDIS chases after an unknown object, which crashlands in Britain during world war II. The doctor doesn't know what
the object is or how it got there. All he does know is he has to find it and make sure 1941 Earth have no knowledge of it.
Whilst the doctor tries to find the object Rose tries to help a boy who wants his mummy. She tries to get to him by climbing
on a rope. When an air raid starts, the rope moves and Rose realises she is attached to a barrage balloon. Wearing a Union
Jack shirt in the middle of a German air-raid was not the best thing to be doing. Captain Jack, a former-time agent saves
her with his tractor-beam. He believes she's a time-aent who has come to bargain him for warship. He generally flirts with
her and dance to a good bit of Glen Miller. Meanwhile the doctor can't find Rose, but is spooked out after he gets a phone
call. But the phone call is recieved from the TARDIS phone. It isn't connected up. So how is it someone is talking to him
on it? All the voice says is- "are you my mummy?" The doctor follows a girl into a house. The girl has sneaked children into
it, as the family who own the house are in the shelter. But the children have to finish dinner early because there's
another child who wants to come in. All he asks is- "are you my mummy?" Nancy, the girl who looks after the children knowns
that if you touch him you become like him. The doctor wants to know what that means, so he lets the boy in. It's the same
boy from the phone and the boy that Rose tried to save. Eventually, the doctor finds himself at the hospital where all of
the patients ad staff have turned into whatever the boy is. All of them, except one man. A doctor who has ben infected. Dr.
Who examines all of the bodies. They have gas masks grafted on to their faces and a scaron their hand. But the doctor can't
find the cause of death. That is because they're not dead. Rose and Jack find the doctor and try to escape but get caught
by the gsa-mask people. What happened to these people- and will the doctor survive?
